Miss Michigan High School Rodeo Queen 2007-2008
Emily Hill
Hello Rodeo Fans! I am excited and looking forward to representing our great state and the wonderful sport of rodeo! Since State Finals here in June, I have been very busy doing just that.
Traveling to Nationals in all 7 events was a great experience, let alone being presented with a beautiful belt buckle from the National office as the first girl ever to accomplish this.
So far this season in addition to Nationals, I have traveled to Petoskey, Traverse City in the the beautiful National Cherry Festival Parade, Gaylord at the Vision of Victory Ranch, Cow Camp Arena and I recently spent the weekend at Tom's Western Store in Ovid, our generous sponsor for our State Finals in June. It was alot of fun signing autographs and listening to some good country musicians while I represented the Michigan High School Rodeo. The weather was bitter cold but the Tyler family put on some good food and made me feel right at home!
As our competition began in Ohio and the season continues, we all shared a great weekend at the Bavarian Inn for our Mid-Winter meeting and Cowboy Prom. The MSU Stallion Expo is right around the corner where we will rodeo with our great friends from across the border. Please check the rodeo schedule to see where our next rodeo will be so you can either come and watch or join in on the fun.
As this is my senior year, I know that I will look forward to the scholarships that I have earned for the past four years as I prepare my enrollment in college for 2008 and at the same time I enjoy competing in the sport that I love. It doesn't get any better than that!!
Hope to see you all at the rodeos!!
